Super Clone Richard Mille RM 27-02 Rafael Nadal Sports Tourbillon Watch
The new RM 27-02 is a sports tourbillon wristwatch designed by RICHARD MILLE specifically for tennis athlete Rafael Nadal. It features an ultra-lightweight case and exceptional stability to withstand the immense accelerations during gameplay—South African athlete Wayde van Niekerk wore this watch while winning the gold medal in the men’s 400-meter sprint final at the Rio Olympics.
RICHARD MILLE drew inspiration from racing car chassis, integrating the movement’s skeletonized main plate and case into a seamless design to significantly enhance shock resistance. In pursuit of lightweight construction, Richard Mille collaborated with North Thin Ply Technology to develop a durable “quartz fiber” ultra-light material for the case, making the entire watch weigh as much as a sheet of paper yet exhibiting a rugged Damascus steel-like texture.
Through the sapphire crystal, the structure of the entire movement is clearly visible, featuring a floating tourbillon at 6 o’clock and Richard Mille’s proprietary rapid winding barrel at 12 o’clock, providing up to 52 hours of power reserve and increasing energy efficiency by 20% during initial winding.
The white bezel is secured to the case with 12 Grade 5 titanium screws, complemented by an orange strap and a red crown. To enhance readability and recognition, the tips of the hour and minute hands are highlighted in bright orange-yellow.
