Tudor Pelagos FXD Ref. 25717N
Tudor has just launched a new addition to the Pelagos collection – the “Pelagos FXD Ref. 25717N” diving watch. Inspired by the Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner 7016 military diving watch produced for the US Navy in the late 1960s, this new timepiece features a one-piece lug case design paired with a green and red military-style NATO strap. The unidirectional bezel uses a more traditional layout with positive timing markings.
The 42mm titanium case is satin-finished, and the one-piece lug structure allows for easy use of any NATO strap. The case still offers a water resistance of 200 meters. The diving bezel reverts back to a unidirectional rotation and positive timing markings, which differs from the Pelagos FXD bi-directional bezel for those who prefer this setup.
The black dial features a highly legible large three-hand layout, continuing the practicality of tool watches. The snowflake hands and rectangular hour markers are coated with Swiss X1 grade Super-LumiNova luminescent material, which transitions from white to beige when fully charged, emitting a blue glow in the dark. The “Pelagos” inscription at 6 o’clock is in red, forming a subtle visual connection with the red stripes on the strap.
The M+FXD (25717N), also known as FXD-2, is currently available in limited quantities. The earlier FXD-1 with a blue ceramic bezel and bi-directional rotation has sold out in the first batch, with the second batch awaiting arrival.
M+ is dedicated to the diving series, utilizing original molds for development, meticulously checking every detail, and conducting numerous evaluations before introducing small batch production to the market.
