IWC Engineer Series: Mastercrafted Steel Automatic Watch

The IWC Engineer series, personally crafted by master watchmaker Gérald Genta, debuts with a robust release. This automatic mechanical wristwatch boasts a 40mm diameter, ideal for Asian wrists. With a thickness of only 10mm and an ETA2824 movement, it features a soft iron inner case to protect against magnetic interference and is water-resistant up to 120 meters. The aesthetically pleasing three-hand design includes striking drilled holes on the glass bezel, inspired by Genta’s legendary 1976 Engineer SL watch, famous for its functional holes originally used for securing the bezel. These holes, screws, and lightning bolt emblem have become signature features of the Engineer series. The substantial crown protection device and solid metal hands give an impression of a “time vault.” Available with a silver-plated or black dial, the silver version offers rhodium or rose gold hands and embedded hour markers, while the black dial features rhodium hands and embedded hour markers, creating a striking contrast that captures attention.
